The FrameNet Project is pleased to announce a one-day workshop on June 29, 2014, in Baltimore, Maryland (following the end of ACL). Speakers (and tentative titles) will include:

  • Miriam R. L. Petruck, FrameNet Project: Frame Semantics and FrameNet
  • Collin F. Baker, FrameNet Project: FrameNet Data and Data Structures
  • Nancy Chang, Google Machine Intelligence team: FrameNet at Scale
  • Tim Hawes and Peter David Decisive Analytics Corporation: FrameNet-Based Tools for the General End-User
  • Eugene Joseph, Northside Software, Creators of Bot Colony: FrameNet use in reasoning and QA in a game application

The workshop will be held at the Inn at Henderson's Wharf, in Baltimore's historic waterfront district at Fell's Point. The site is approximately 35 minutes from BWI airport by car/taxi (or 1 hour 15 minutes by light rail and bus, with one transfer), and a 17-minute walk from the Baltimore Marriott Waterfront (site of the ACL). This is a follow-up to the full-week FrameNet workshop held September 9-13, 2013 at ICSI.
